Allegra’s journey as a therapist started close to home, as she grew up in a family where both her parents were in helping professions. She has worked in several different environments such as the Department of Social Services, psychiatric hospitals for adolescent, classroom settings and after-school programs, group homes as well as private in-home settings. Allegra has experience providing Christian-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Emotional Crisis Intervention, and has experience providing Trauma recovery for victims of sexual assault and abuse/domestic violence. She is also trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Allegra found through her work and her dedication to people, that regardless of the environment or the particulars of your circumstance, clients benefit from having a safe and confidential place to be heard and understood. She believes that true healing begins when a person acknowledges the connectedness of mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social health and that an expectation of addressing one facet of health without addressing the others will only delay the potential to achieve authentic wellness.

“If I want my clients to be comfortable with sharing their story as a way of healing, I have to be comfortable with my own story; so I’m actually walking this path to healing alongside them and together we discover that life has many seasons and in every season Life is Beautiful!"
