Lisseth De La Cruz, Outpatient Therapist with Life & Wellness Counseling and Consulting, PLLC, is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) through North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Central Florida in May 2014 and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania in 2018. Lisseth has experience providing mental health support to individuals and families in an outpatient setting. Lisseth has worked with victims of domestic violence and has experience providing crisis support for suicide prevention. She has co-facilitated anger management treatment groups for individuals who have been diagnosed with mental illness as well as suffered from a drug addiction. Lisseth has provided mental health advocacy and support to members of the Spanish-speaking community and has experience working with families and individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and underrepresented populations.
Lisseth’s approach to the therapeutic journey includes a person-centered therapy that utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed practices, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Lisseth has experience working with individuals who suffer from symptoms related to Depression/Anxiety, Mood Disorders to include self-esteem related concerns and concerns specific to the LGBTQ Community, Trauma, and Personality Disorders.
